Bishkek – 24.kg news agency - The Government is at a loss why the national budget receives so little from work of state-owned enterprises. This was voiced by the vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Shamil Atakhanov at the session of the Government.
“They transferred only 2 billion soms, i.e. only 0.03 percent came in the budget. Income tax is not in force in Kyrgyzstan at all. It makes up only 10 percent but it is not effective. There are grounds for that. Why enterprises don’t want to expose income?” the official questioned.
The Minister of Economic Regulation Uchkunbek Tashbaev argued the Cabinet intends to build relations with management of state-owned enterprises on the principle of “how much profit they earn”. “Your criticism is fair and we will continue to work in this area,” he promised.
